As the article in “Gulf Coast Woman” references, Tazewell is creating remarkably distinctive art daily, well into his senior years. His joy in life, and sense of humor remains prevalent in his pieces.
The On-Line Store at TazewellArt.com has been removed from the site as Tazewell travels about. At this stage of life, he prefers to sell the art that he is inspired to make rather than filling orders- an approach that fits his current lifestyle. I will attempt to post new works of art that are available (if and when I can catch up with him!). In the meantime, if you are interested in acquiring another Tazewell original or print, please contact me for images.
Thank you for your interest in Tazewell Art.
“I have enjoyed hearing from so many good people who have used Tazewell Art to reconnect with me. Continue to send your messages and comments and know that I hold each of you, and the time that our paths have crossed, in the highest regard.”
Tazewell is creating new original paintings and clay works of art on a daily basis. It is often difficult to keep up with posting! Be sure to check the website regularly for additions, and if you do not see what you are looking for currently displayed in inventory, please send your ideas. Tazewell will create a custom work of art designed to your specifications.
The Morton Salt Girl, like all Tazewell Wood-Art flat figural paintings is individually sketched out and cut from 3/8 inch plywood which is completely prime-painted before the original designs and stories are hand-painted in multiple layers of color by Tazewell. The approximate dimensions are 24 inches wide x 36 inches tall, however the exact dimensions and the paint colors, as well as the art designs are unique to each piece. Some personalization or customization can be accommodated. Please specify in advance.
The process that is involved in creating each Wood-Art piece is very detail-oriented and labor-intensive, so the total number of Wood-Art items that are created is always very limited. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery of any Wood-Art item for adequate production time. Orders for Christmas 2012 must be placed and paid in full by October 1, 2012.
